Royal Pains

One needs only to look around and they see the problems we face. Gas prices are creeping up to $4 here in New Jersey and is up to $6 in other states. Our economy is in shambles, people are unemployed, and our government seems uncommitted to helping us. Our respectability around the globe is on life support in the Critical Care Unit with our troops and civilians dying in the Middle East. 213 have been reported dead in the severe storms in the South. So what is our biggest concern as Americans right now?

Who's on the royal guest list for "Wedding of Century".

Call me an American patriot looking for a fight, but didn't we declare independence from the British Crown some 234 years ago? And since then, haven't we had to save THEM from the messes that Winston Churchill got them into? The American in me could give a feather or a fig about the British monarchy and the Catholic in me can't be bothered with the future head of the dying heretical Church of England. For all I know, through the grace of Almighty God and the intercession of Our Lady of Walsingham, by the time he ascends to the throne, the United Kingdom will be reunited to the See of Peter and Prince William a loyal son of the Church.

One could dream.

Or maybe it's because that gorgeous brunette Kate Middleton will be off the market. Who knows? Maybe that's the reason why I could care less.

Either way, I'm getting some sleep that morning here in the United States, I have to get up for a beatification early Sunday morning!
