"Christine Gianacaci a Lynn University student from Hopewell New Jersey was part of a mission to feed the poor in Haiti when the earthquake hit. She is trapped in the rubble of the Montana Hotel and her family are seeking help from the US Government to send more equipment and manpower.
Christine's father John Gianacaci just called and asked that we continue to put pressure on Senators Lautenberg and Menendez office to send more help for search and rescue at Hotel Montana in Haiti.
John and Christine's mother Jean appreciate all the emails and phone calls that everyone is making on their behalf, but they asked if we could continue to put pressure on out two Senators who have been unresponsive. Neither Senator has reached out to them, whereas Rep. Chris Smith and Rush Holt have. The Senators have the clout to get the US Government moving.
I told John we would send out another email blast to everyone we can to ask everyone to continue to call and email the Senators right away.
They still have hope their daughter is alive. There are pockets in the rubble where they can survive, but they need additional help from our government by sending in the necessary equipment and manpower for search and rescue. It is now eight days that Christine and several other American citizens have been trapped. Time is running out. Please call and email the senators right away."
This story is really apalling when you see the lack of response from Frank Lautenberg and Bob Menendez in reagrds to the life of one of their constituents and especially the plea of desperate parents. DO NOT STAND LET YOUR U.S. SENATORS OFF THE HOOK! HELP ONE OF YOUR FELLOW NEW JERSEYANS AND AMERICANS IN HER HOUR OF NEED!
